About the opportunity:

We are seeking a thoughtful, inquisitive storyteller and PR professional to join the Brand & Communications team as a Communications Manager. This individual will materially raise our profile as both a consumer tech company and lifestyle brand by generating publicity around our announcements, milestones, product & partnership launches, consumer advocacy, and leadership, and develop a steady stream of creative, proactive earned media campaigns. The ideal candidate is confident and outgoing, attracted to complex problems, and an active listener committed to developing a deep & nuanced understanding of our brand.

The Communications Manager will report to the Director, Brand & Communications, collaborate cross-functionally across the organization as well as with external stakeholders, and own the relationships with our media contacts. While Arcadia is headquartered in Washington, D.C., remote candidates located in major tech and/or media hubs are encouraged to apply! What you’ll do: -Develop and implement communications and media campaigns that increase and strengthen brand awareness -Develop quarterly communications and media plans, in close collaboration with the Director, Brand, that detail strategy, tactics, messages, channels, outcomes, and measurements -Plan, pitch, and secure proactive earned media opportunities, op-ed placements, awards, and events through traditional and digital channels -Field and manage incoming media inquiries -Create press materials – including media kits, op-eds, holding statements, talking points, executive media interview briefs, news releases, website content and fact sheets – on organizational programs, initiatives, and key messaging efforts -Facilitate media interviews with appropriate staff members and prepare appropriate briefing materials -Coordinate media and events with external agencies and partners as needed -Coordinate with the Brand, Executive, People & Impact, Marketing, Product, and Legal & Policy teams to maximize impact of public relations initiatives -Analyze success of campaigns to provide valuable insights What will help you succeed: Must-haves:

-5+ years of relevant communications experience
Experience doing PR for consumer tech or high-profile B2B tech companies -Experience doing PR and storytelling for multiple brands, companies, or industries with a high degree of complexity -Experience in crisis, issues, and reputation management; track record of successfully advising executives on corporate PR matters -Storytelling passion and excellence; exceptional written & verbal communication skills -Comfort pitching journalists and a thoughtful approach to cultivating and nurturing media relationships -Ability to help shape personal brands and narrative arcs for key individuals in addition to the company overall -Passion for our mission, sustainability, and helping drive a clean-energy future Nice-to-haves:
